IT Transformation: Empowering Tech Experts
You have your LPIC-1 and you are going for LPIC-2. Exam 201-450 is the first of the two LPIC-2 exams, and it goes deeper than LPIC-1: capacity planning, the kernel, system startup and recovery, filesystems, RAID and LVM, advanced networking and system maintenance. These tests show you which objectives you already own and which ones need more work. You get four tests with 50 questions each - 200 in total, written from the official LPI objectives for exam 201-450 (version 4.5). Every question is tied to one objective, so when you get one wrong you know exactly what to revise. What makes the explanations usefulEach answer tells you why the right option is right and why each wrong option is wrong. The wrong options are where most of the learning is: they are real features, commands and settings that are easy to pick by mistake. How the tests are builtTest 1 - Capacity planning, kernel and system startup: topics 200-202: measuring CPU, memory, disk and network use, predicting resource needs, kernel components, compiling a kernel, kernel modules and runtime management, customising startup with systemd and SysV init, system recovery and alternate bootloaders.Test 2 - Filesystems, devices and advanced storage: topics 203-204: operating and maintaining Linux filesystems, filesystem options, swap, software RAID with mdadm, adjusting storage device access, and the Logical Volume Manager.Test 3 - Networking and system maintenance: topics 205-206: basic and advanced network configuration, troubleshooting network issues, building and installing programs from source, backup operations and notifying users.Test 4 - Full mock exam: 50 mixed questions across all 20 objectives of exam 201-450, weighted like the real exam, with a time limit.Questions use single-answer and "choose two" formats; "choose two" is always stated in the question. Suggested time: 75 minutes for Tests 1-3, 90 minutes for the mock.Versions: current mainstream distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL and its clones) with kernel 6.x, systemd and GRUB 2, plus the classic tools the LPI objectives still list. The answers were checked against official documentation in October 2026.Please note: these are original questions written by an instructor. They are not exam questions and do not come from the exam.
